An Intimate Conversation with Andrea Raynor
Chaplain at Ground Zero
Author of The Voice That Calls You Home
Please join us for a special evening honoring those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Andrea Raynor will share her grace filled perspectives on the meanings of life and death, comfort and grief as she shares her many experiences as chaplain at Ground Zero, Hospice, and her own triumph as a cancer survivor.
She reminds us that even in our darkest moments, we still have the opportunity to see beauty, be inspired by the tenacity of the human spirit, and feel connected to something greater.
Andrea is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, a United Methodist Minister, and a cancer survivor. She currently lives in Westchester, New York where she is the Chaplain to the Rye Fire Department.
Her powerful book, The Voice That Calls You Home, is a compelling guide to appreciating the wonderous world in which we live. It is a collection of essays that offer hope to those who seek connection between the spiritual and the everyday.
"Readers will enjoy the author's accessible and elegant prose as well as the power behind her personal encounters with grief." ~Publisher's Weekly
When & Where
Arizona Authors Series
The Arizona Authors Series is a newly created venue seeking to provide quality literary events to the Phoenix community.
Jackie, Julie, Stephanie, Coleen and Susan have teamed up to create an Arizona Authors Series hosted at Scottsdale Center of Preforming Arts. We invite authors to Phoenix who have incredible messages to share, great stories of inspiration and motivation. These are authors who we believe you just might want as your new best friend. As women in business and community volunteers we are raising money and awareness for local charities, who know that books can inspire and change our life. www.arizonaauthorsseries.com
